There are days when the craziness can seem a little too much to handle. On these days it feels as if peace is a little too far out of reach…
I am so thankful for the life that the Lord has blessed me with. I have an incredible husband, two handsome boys, a job that is truly amazing, and crazy opportunities that await us every day.
But there are times though when those blessings seem to not appear so obvious to me. I tend to get extremely overwhelmed with things that are behind – laundry, dirty dishes that pile up in the sink, homework that has to be done, college papers that need to be written, etc.
When I get overwhelmed I tend to overlook those blessings.
I give in to the chaos instead of choosing the calm.
During those times, my mind often goes back to the words of the apostle Paul.
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 2 Corinthians 12:9
I draw comfort knowing that in my weakness God shows me grace. Isn’t it amazing! And the thought that the grace that he extends us should be enough for us. We can keep going with the power that Christ gives us. Even when we feel so small – like we should throw in the towel. His grace covers us!
